Korea (Nov 2015) - Route and transportation

Anyeong Haseyo.....

Here's something to share on our trip to Korea from 26 November 2015 till 30 November 2015..enjoy

Route

The route took us from KLIA2 - Incheon, Seoul - Mount Soeraksan - PyeongChang Ski Resort - Nami Island - Seoul - KLIA2 and will be spending 5 days and 4 nights for this trip.

There were 4 families during this tour package and they came from Setiawan, Serendah & Puchong bringing along their children...kita orang sahaja yg couple hahahaha...mcm honeymoon trip la plak

One big family

Family pose...

Transportation

AirAsiaX

Our tour package provide us with AirAsiaX flights which took off at 8 am and safely landed at approx 3pm (local time).. That's almost 6 hours with no entertainment on board, pre-booked meal (packed nasi ayam)..So most of the time spent with hand phone games, sleeping (3 times) and toilet breaks...boring giler...(next time no AirAsiaX for long haul flights)....

Spouse, my self and Malaysian counterpart tour guide

On board AirAsiaX.....boring to the max

Chartered bus

Our next mode of transport is a chartered bus (Taewoon Tour). This will be our main mode of transportation. Its a 20 seater bus with one driver. (I believe the driver name is Mr Heng????)..He did not interact with us and does not speak English at all....so not much details obtained from him. But he sure drives fast..huhu

Mr Heng???...our bus driver
Ferry

We took a ferry to Nami Island. The ferry ride took only about 10 minutes and its just a small size ferry which can fit about 40 - 50 standing passengers...

Cable car/Gondola

We were supposed to take a cable car to the peak of Mount Soeraksan on the first day but due to high winds and safety reasons it was not operational...(disappointed jugak tapi better be safe than sorry kan)

tu dia...cable car line to the peak of Mount Soeraksan
There was however a cable car service at Everland Theme park. In fact, the theme park has one cable car service, one 4-seater gondola and one 2-seater gondola located at various stations in the park

4-seater gondola

2 seater gondola......macam sama aje kan??? hehehe

Tour agency

We got our tour arranged by Malaysian Harmony Tour Agency and the package was bought during MATTA fair @ PWTC with Muslim package.......The price???  Prices slightly differs between tour operators, tour month/season, packages and no of days. So do check up for the best price...

With our Malaysian tour guide

That's our Korea counterpart tour guide....(the one holding the tickets)

Coming next...restaurants, makan2, shopping and culture

Guangzhou-Shengzhen-Hong Kong - Day 3

Third day in Gangzhou. Today's plan is more shopping for textiles and electronic items. First stop to Baiyun textile again as some of us have made booking earlier. ...

As mentioned earlier each complex is huge and full of all sort of textiles..Everywhere you look cloths everywhere and full of activities. People carting their goods up and down the alleys, lifts, tri-cycles, vans etc

Everyone here uses these modified electric bicycles to get around ....cool

Business transactions done on the go....

Another modified type of electric bicycle.....this time with an umbrella attached for the cyclist and his passenger

While some of our friends does their shopping, we were left waiting waiting waiting waiting....(sampai bila kena wait sahaja daaaaa?
Later we found out that the materials we ordered yesterday has not arrived thus causing the delay ....haiyaa

Finally one part done..Next we took a taxi to our next target destination. Off to Tianhe district where its well know for its electronic products.
Some view of the city below.......the Canton tower view again (bila teringat masih frust sebab tak dapat naik cable car huhuhu)

More high rise buildings in the making....(the fastest rising economy in the world for now !!)

The taxi dropped us to one of the area at Tianhe district but its not what we were looking for. There was only few shops selling electronics and mostly consists of offices.

After asking for directions from few people, we were shown the way to the shopping district. This time we plan to take the bus. So we walked for some distance towards the bus terminal

The terminal is large, clean and the bus services is efficient......

We reached our destination but to cross to the other side of the road we need to walk down the subway and up again. The first round was unsuccessful as we exited on the wrong side of the street.
So off to the subway again...phuhhhh huhuhu @^#&$$%$ at last reached the other side

Entered the shopping center which was a high end shopping mall....Naaahh not our taste and budget...

Wish we had the Batmobile here to bring us around the city hehehehe

Saw this Pappa Roti outlet....sounds like Malaysian yaaa ....roti roti roti. So we stopped by for light tea break and had some bread..
Waaaahhhhh ada teh tarik Malaysian style!!!

After tea break we went out from the mall and took separate taxi to a nearby electronic shopping mall. But alas we did not meet the next group. So we went separated ways again.

This is where we bought some camera accessories selling at a bargain.

Then we wandered around looking for our fellow friends but sadly did not find them. We went throughout all over area and there were rows and rows of shop selling computer gadgets, reconditioned notebook and desktops, power banks, usb ports etc...you name it and you got it here....From the looks of it does not look quite genuine though...

After failing to find them we headed to Beijing Lu for dinner and back to hotel for quick shower

Then off to Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street again to the shop at where we promised to go yesterday.

Ms Tina - the friendly and patience sales. (Kedai dah tutup pun boleh buka balik gara-gara layan karenah kami sampai tutup kedai pukul 1:30 pagi hehehehe)

I want that pleaseeeeee.......

After tense price negotiations and not forgetting our Malaysian habit (ada free give tak????), we went back to our hotel after a long and tiring day.

Tomorrow, we will check out and leave Guangzhou for Shengzhen yeaaaaaa

C u in the next updates
